Conference season has begun and it is shaping up to be a very busy year, travelling to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, London, Southampton and Vienna to discuss, share, laugh, listen and learn about how geoscience is supporting the energy and engineering industries.

Along the way we would love to meet up with you, so get in touch and arrange a meeting if you are also attending any of the conferences below.

Read details of out attendance including talks by expanding the list below:

April 2023: SEISMIC23

Day 1 (09:50) Nick Woodburn: What happens to imaging with small eSource volumes when you dial the environmental noise up to 11?

Day 1 (15:50) Peter Cox: Broadband processing across the UHRS bandwidth – a case study from a Baltic Sea offshore windfarm

April 2023: Ocean Business (Southampton)

Matt Swan and Alastair MacLeod will be attending, so get in touch with them if you want to meet up.

April 2023: BEOS23

Please join Matt Swan and Alastair MacLeod on booth number 21.

May 2023: Energy Geoscience Conference (EGC1)

Oil & Gas: Nick Hall / ONE-Dyas: A porpoise and a geophysicist – how can the eSource please these two mammals at the same time?

Oil & Gas: Rob Lengkeek / ONE-Dyas: Ijssel Discovery: an integrated approach to characterisation of an unusual reservoir type; an example of Upper Jurassic greensands in the Netherlands.

Nuclear/Subsurface Storage: Christian Strand / Nuclear Waste Services: The use of 1980s data to image shallow geology in the Irish Sea. Offshore Wind: Clement Tam / Atkins: Leveraging the use of Repurposed O&G 2D seismic data to de-risk offshore wind farm development projects.

June 2023: Global Offshore Wind

Matt Swan and Alastair MacLeod will be attending, so get in touch with them if you want to meet up.

June 2023: EAGE Annual (Vienna)

Tuesday 6th June (08:30-08:50) Nick Woodburn: From Data Dustbin to Drill Bit: Revitalizing Vintage Seismic for the IJssel Discovery Appraisal Campaign.

September 2023: EAGE Near Surface (Edinburgh)

Come and visit the RockWave team on booth number 52.

Several papers have been submitted and awaiting approval.

September 2023: Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) OSIG Conference

RockWave involved in the following talks:

  • East Point Geo, RockWave, Applied Acoustics: Why Single Channel Seismic is Still Sexy…

  • Atkins, RockWave, SSE Renewables: Reprocessing and repurposing of historical O&G data for Offshore Renewable Projects

  • RockWave, Ørsted, PGE Baltica: Advanced broadband processing of UHRS data to enhance seismic interpretation - insights from a Baltic Sea offshore windfarm

  • Atkins, RockWave, Ocean Winds: Quantifying the reduction of ground modelling uncertainty achieved though seismic data re-processing and re-interpretation
